We are constantly adding new customers and controls into production and our ERP/MRP systems are growing in kind. We are looking for people who do things the right way with existing methods and are open, thoughtful and engaged as we review and improve upon them.

About the Opportunity

We need an Accounting Assistant to support the Director of Finance with responsibilities including standard accounting tasks, special projects, and serving as backup for AP/AR Clerk and Dir of Finance as needed. Previous experience in a general accounting role is required. An associate’s degree in accounting is required and a bachelor’s degree is a strong plus. This is an in-person, full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, a 401K and excellent healthcare insurance. We will consider part-time applicants only if on a regular schedule, though with reduced benefits.

Compensation:

$25 to $29 per hour

Responsibilities:

·        Perform monthly and annualaccounting close including journal entries, account reconciliation and preparationof schedules.

·        Produce accurate, timely financialreports and maintain system, records, and controls.

·        Perform projects as outlined byDirector of Finance including coordination with Operations, Engineering andSales.

·        Maintain compliance includingcustoms tariffs and sales & use tax reporting.

·        Coordinate and assist with thepreparation of annual budget and forecasts as well as analyzing and reporting variances.

·        Assist with any internal orexternal audits.

·        Assist in the preparation offinancial statements in compliance with all guidelines and requirements.

·        Work with current business systems (Sage ERP and MiSys MRP)and business analytic tools.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

·        Minimum 2+ years in general accounting role with ERP required.

·        Minimum associate’s degree in accounting. Bachelor’s degree inaccounting/finance related a plus.

·        Advanced Excel skills, and Office365 proficiency, required.  

·        Tech competence with Sage 300 ERP and MS Power BI a plus.

·        Clear and concise writing abilities and capacity to analyze/present data.

·        Must be a self-starter, motivated, independent, organized with strong interpersonal skills who can work well in a dynamic environment on their own or in a team.

·        Integrity and ability to keep sensitive information confidential.

·        Quick wit and a dry sense of humor much appreciated.
